Yes. All of our models are treated in either Cyanoacrolyte, a super glue like substance, or Wax dipped, for an ECO Friendly Product. Once cured it is then treated with one of the following options:
- Satin or Semi-Gloss Finish. This option offers some UV protection and maintains color and durability.
- High Gloss Finish, for an additional charge we can ‘super-gloss’ your statue giving it a shiny glass-like look.
- Wax only, offering an ECO Friendly Product. This option is our most fragile.
Yes. Jewelry, watches, shiny materials or anything with a high polish should be avoided if possible. Also, transparent materials such as silk.
Yes, we can immortalize your pet and your children. The photo session will be around 30 minutes and we will take multiple shots and various positions so we can ensure we get the best model for you.
In order to ensure you have adequate time for your session we suggest you make an appointment.
YES, you can reorder additional models at any time. We keep the digital data archived. All you need to do is login to our website SayItIn3D.com and follow the instruction to select your model and the size. At checkout time, you can choose to have the model shipped to you for a charge, or when you receive the email indicating it is ready, you may pick it up at the store during normal business hours.
Since eye glasses are transparent (see through) the photogrammetry system is unable to separate the glass from what is behind the glass. This will cause a slight distortion to the model and will make the glasses appear to be part of the face. Glasses can be added to the model for an additional cost.
We are unable to create a 3D model from a single photo. Our photo booth takes 100+ pictures simultaneously so we can collect photos from various angles giving us a complete 360° view of the subject. The Acquired photo data is extremely high and the complexity of our procedure cannot be replaced by a single photo. Our multi-camera process allows us the ability to generate a very detailed and highly accurate replica.
Yes, we can create a memorable creation for just about every occasion….
Here are some to name a few:
- Bar/Bat Mitzvah
- Baby First Birthday
- The list goes on…
Some variation in color shade is unavoidable, especially with difficult-to-produce colors such as browns and skin tones. 3D printing is done using CMYK and small items may have slight color differences. We optimize each print run to make individual models look great, however, you may see differences in color when looking at multiple prints of the same model side by side.
- Models should be handled carefully, any statue that has a hanging structure could possibly break.. an example of something that would break is a miniature of a person with an arm sticking straight out.
- Models should be kept out of Direct Sunlight as model color may fade.
- Do not expose model to water as it will cause fading and possible breakage.
- Stop in or call 1-844-387-2777 to make an appointment.
- In a 15 – 30 minute session we will take multiple photos to ensure we get a perfect model.
- We process your model and prepare it for 3D printing.
- Once processed we submit your model to be printed on our industrial 3D printer.
- In ten to fourteen business days your model is ready to be shipped or picked up at our store.
After your photo session we will process and print your model within 10 to 14 business days. The statue may be picked up at our store, or we would be happy to ship it to you (Additional charge may apply).
Our 3D statues are made with the world’s most sophisticated multi-color 3D printing technology. However, the technology is still in its infancy and has a few limitations to overcome for the future. Think of the statue as an original painting that you want to treat carefully. Thin parts of the structure, like fingers or ears, can break if they fall. Heat over 60°C, water, strong humidity, and direct sunlight can harm the surface. Colors could fade under these circumstances as well. However, the surface has been treated with a special coating to make the figurine structurally healthy for a long time.
Sandstone is the only material capable of full-color 3D prints. It is perfect for figurines, life-like models, avatars, and other products that lend themselves to colorful, high-quality printing. Models are created by printing binder material and colored ink layer-by-layer into a bed of gypsum-based powder. After printing, the models are finished with a cyanoacrylate (super glue) sealant to ensure durability and vivid colors. The final product is a hard, brittle material that works great for figurines and visual models, but isn’t well suited to functional parts or daily handing
The photo system analyses surface details. The more it can see, the better the quality of the result. Clothes that have a pattern and are bright in color work best. The system doesn’t like surfaces that are too transparent, too shiny, or that lack structure over a large area.
There are no limitations on poses. Details like spread fingers or strands of hair, etc. tend to break and are unable to be printed. We will show you how to get the best pose for your selfie.
